Sophie's Story
From a school trip to fighting for her life, Sophie was put on life support.
Sophie was struggling to breathe with Influenza A, adnd just days later, she went into cardiac arrest, needing the support of a life-saving service over an hour and a half from where she lived. Thanks to donations made to Gold Coast Hospital Foundation, the mobile ECMO vehicle and team from Gold Coast Univeristy Hospital were dispatched to save her life.
